History

From Customer service to Medicare Broker

Our Insurance history started back in Raleigh, NC October 2006 when I accepted a position as a customer service representative for a doctor owned insurance company Vista Healthplans. Within several months I became the team lead, I audited calls and took escalated calls. This gave me experience in helping customers with complex insurance questions. Due to a company acquisition I took a new role in Atlanta, GA in March 2008 as an Individual Market Sales & Marketing Assistant. Below I’ve listed the other roles I’ve had until 2017 where I became an independent Medicare insurance broker.

2008-2011 - Individual Market Sales & Marketing Assistant

As a Marketing assistant I was part of a three person team that focused on helping brokers with application processing, product benefits and issue resolution.

2011-2012 - Small & Large Group Sales & Marketing Assistant

Supported commercial group account managers in renewal quotes, trained and developed new assistants; I was the point of contact for brokers and groups for claim and enrollment inquiries.

2012-2013 - Account Manager

Led retention, in-group growth and the sale of new products and services into existing commercial health insurance accounts.

2013-2017 - Medicare Broker Manager

Managed broker sales distribution channel of over 700 agents, which focused on Medicare Advantage plans. In this role I gained a significant amount of experience in Medicare marketing, product knowledge and compliance.
